NEEDS played a leading role in introducing the digital utility to Lebanon and the region. Locally, GIS was presented as a solution facilitating management decisions and improving the performance of the distribution network. The project resulted in the development of a complete medium and low voltage network model with all associated technical and management attributes. Integration between the network model and the customer information system (meter buildings) was also achieved.
