NEEDS had participated in the “Draft Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Law in Lebanon: Positive and Negative Impacts” event, an opportunity to discuss the new energy efficiency and renewable energy law in a way to ensure that the law will have a minimal negative impact on the decision makers and the end users of the energy sector, or what is referred to as a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA). The RIA study was initiated at LCEC, with the support of OMSAR (Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform). SIGMA-OECD is working on the law’s impact assessment.
