On May 23-24, 2016, NEEDS had participated in the “TAIEX Workshop on Small Hydropower Plants”, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Water in Lebanon – the Lebanese Centre for Energy Conservation, with the support of the EU-TAIEX instrument. The workshop objective was to consider the potential opportunities and main obstacles of the hydropower sector in Lebanon, determining the role of private and public sectors in the promotion, finance and establishment of hydropower or small hydropower projects for Lebanon. The event took place at ‘Radisson Blu Martinez’ hotel, Beirut.
